Singers representing Central Texas on this season of The Voice

Kendall Eugene and Torre Blake announced who their coaches will be for this new season of The Voice.

CENTRAL, Texas — After Monday night's season premiere of The Voice, we got to see shining talent including two singers from Central Texas.

Kendall Eugene, who is from Waco, sung "Don't Think Jesus" by Morgan Wallen. But his performance resulted in no chairs being turned.

Reba McEntire, who is a coach, introduced "replay". This new feature of the show allows coaches to hit their button and the singer gets a do-over. This was Eugene's lucky night because McEntire had no hesitation in hitting that button and rewarding him a second chance.

McEntire's gut feeling led Eugene to choosing Team Reba.

"It's incredible to make a team. I almost feel like I wasn't supposed to be here, but I got a second chance. And so I want to make the most of it. I'm totally stoked to be on Team Reba." Eugene said.

Meanwhile, Torre Blake is an already well established singer from the Austin area. She blew coaches away with her rendition of "On and On" by Erykah Badu. While singing, both Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani turned their chairs.

Blake is no stranger to the spotlight as her dad Jeff Blake was a former NFL Quarterback. Blake didn't mind getting advice from her father about who her coach should be. Announcing the decision with her dad on stage, they both agreed on Snoop Dogg.

"I'm really excited to be on The Voice to be able to perform and just showcase my artistry to the world," Blake said.

Blind auditions will continue next week, Monday Sept. 30.
