Day 3: The Finale!

It's over:

In the final 10 minutes, Rose Short was named fourth place in season 17.

Short made Central Texas proud and we all know she will go very far with her music career.

Final performance:

Rose Short sang "In the Midst of it All," in a beautiful, powerful duet with Yolanda Adams. Even with a powerful voice beside her, Short's voice still shined through.

Part two of this season's finale brought on stars like the Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, and Adam Lambert.

It begins

Rose Short said she is ready for the finale and she is happy, no matter the outcome.

Tuesday, the show begins with playing all the finalist's songs from Monday night. Eventually, past competitors will come back to the stage of "The Voice" and get to show their colors one last time.

Although voting is over, you can still show your support and tune in to see of Rose Short will win it all.

Day 2: Time for the performance!

When it's all said and done

The competition is complete and "The Voice" experience is nearly over, but one thing that seems to be long-lasting is the bond between Short and her coach, Gwen Stefani.

"People look at us don't think we would have that connection-- and that's why you can't judge a book by its cover--  because we have so many things in common," Short said. " I absolutely adore her."

Short said Stefani would check on her when the cameras weren't rolling and would pray for her.

When asked how she felt about the finale, Short said she felt accomplished and no matter what happens she's grown and she's happy.

"Thank you so much for riding with me. I love you," was Short's message to Central Texas.

Find out Tuesday at 8 p.m. if Short is the next "The Voice" champion.

The final performance

In the final competitive performance of the night and season 17 of “The Voice,” Rose Short slaughtered Aretha Franklin’s version of Elton John’s hit “Border Song.“

Slaying what looked like a gown made of purple confetti with a thigh-high slit, Short hit just about every register in her range and took us to church with her powerful rendition or the gospel-sounding song.

“That was very special,” John Legend said.

“I think sometimes God puts a little extra drop of cool, a little extra drop of talent and He did that for you,” coach Gwen Stefani said.

With it all left on the stage, now it’s up to voters to make Short the next winner of “The Voice.” So, what are you waiting for? Go vote!

Rose Short performance number two

For her second performance, Short took to the stage with her coach, Gwen Stefani and sang “My Gift Is You” from Stefani’s Christmas album, “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”

The two captured 60's style, Short in a burgundy A-line skirt and matching top complimented with a thick black belt and black boots. Stefani wore a black, sparkly A-line dress complete with a pair of black red bottoms.

Both rocked old school hairstyles. Rose wore the classic bob with a feathered bang while Stefani sported her blonde locks in classic curls and a pinned bang.

Dancers moved across the stage dancing and jitterbugging through the whole tune.

In the midst of singing with her coach, Short stayed true, cracking a couple of jokes in the middle of the “Gwen and Rose show.”

Short and Stefani made perfect harmonies and ended their performance with how much they love each other.

“I love Gwen,” Short said.

“I love Rose,” Stefani said back.

Rose Short performance number one:

Her style is as powerful as her voice. With long flowing hair, Rose Short was draped in an all-black jumpsuit studded with crystals and a train fit for a queen as she hit “The Voice” stage for her first performance of the night.

Short sang her first single, an original called “Steamroller.”

She said the song represented the hardships and victories of her life.
“I love this song,” coach Gwen Stefani said.

As the intro played and Short sauntered to the stage, her smoky, soulful tones melted every note of the original tune. She even showed off a bit her falsetto near the end of the song, before she hit us with the powerful vocals and intricate runs we all know Short for.

After her performance, she said, “I did it!” With her parents yelling from the crowd, Short seemed to be relieved, proud and satisfied.

"It’s like watching Mary J. Blige,” Carson Daly said.

"I’ve never seen a better pairing of an original song with an artist,” Blake Shelton said.

But will it be enough to win voters over?
