Sydney joined the KCEN team as a sports anchor and reporter in September 2024.
She moved to Central Texas from Tallahassee, Florida but she was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her love for sports began before she could walk and going to games at the Big House with her dad. Sydney is a huge Michigan football fan and still travels back to games when she can.
Sydney understands the friendly nature of competition from playing soccer from an early age through high school.
She moved to Pueblo, Colorado from Detroit, when she was 12 years old. That move helped give her the confidence to travel and move all over the country. Once she graduated college from Colorado State University, she took her first job in Meridian, Mississippi.
Sydney got to cover Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, which led her to many iconic post-game interviews with the late and iconic coach, Mike Leach.
During her time in East Mississippi and West Alabama she was named the 2022 Mississippi Rookie of the Year and the 2023 Sports Anchor of the Year.
Sydney loves the local sports scene and enjoys connecting with athletes and sharing their stories.
She is the oldest of two siblings and enjoys flying back to Colorado to visit her family and cheer on the Rams.
In her free time, she loves to travel with her best friend Hannah, go to country concerts and try new restaurants. She is so excited about covering the sports scene here in Central Texas.
