Corrie Allison, Larry Allison's wife, says they arrived in Minnesota on April 10, and Larry was checked into the Mayo Clinic the following day. Since arriving to the clinic, Corrie Allison says Larry Allison has had about 35 tests completed.

She says doctors went beyond the originally scheduled tests and examined Larry Allison with even more tests. She says the last few days have given her more hope than she ever had in the three years dealing with the West Los Angeles VA.

She also said he is in good spirits and they "are close" to a diagnosis. Doctors told her they could have one in the next 72 hours.

They are expected to leave the Mayo Clinic and return to West Los Angeles on Friday.
