TEMPLE, Texas — Temple Fire & Rescue will bring in its new truck at Fire Station #6 with a Push-In ceremony on Friday, March 22.
According to the city, firefighters and community members will push the new truck into the bay of the fire station by hand.
The new truck features a 107-foot ladder, the ability to flow over 2000 gallons of water per minute and a new emergency lighting system.
"The ceremony is a moment of reflection of the history of the fire service and a celebration of the improved capabilities that this apparatus provides the citizens and department," Fire Chief Mitch Randles explained.
Following the ceremony, the fire station is inviting the community for lunch and an open house of fire station #6.
