MARLIN, Texas — Falls County Sheriff Ricky Scaman said the Marlin bank robber has been arrested.
Police searched for the bank robber with a gun after the Compass Bank in the 500 block of Live Oak Street was robbed around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Helicopter, drones and K9 units were used to search for a black man wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The man left the bank on foot, Marlin Police Department Dispatch said. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The FBI said in a press release the robber is about 5 foot 10 inches tall, weighs about 190 to 200 pounds with broad shoulders and a deep voice.
Officials said the bank robber has a 9-millimeter handgun.
Editor's note: An earlier version of this story said the suspect used a yellow moped to get away. Falls Sheriff Ricky Scaman said the suspect didn't use the moped and left the scene on foot.
