BELTON, Texas — The Bell County Museum has been selected as the recipient of a $25,000 grant from Meta, the parent company of Facebook.
This grant aims to support the expansion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programming and equipment at the museum.
The Bell County Museum has a track record of successfully offering various STEM programs and summer camps, including Full Steam Ahead, Weird Science, and STEM Exploration summer camp.
"We deeply appreciate Meta's commitment to our communities. The Bell County Museum recognizes the importance of continuously providing high-quality educational opportunities rooted in STEM, alongside our history and cultural arts programs and exhibits. The Meta grant will exclusively support the development and expansion of our STEM programming and exhibits," said Executive Director Coleman Hampton.
The Bell County Museum extends an invitation to the public, with operating hours from 12-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays.
