WACO, Texas — Waco Police Department identified 24-year-old Mario Rocha Jr. as the suspect of the hit-and run on Sunday, Jan. 21.
Police were able to locate Rocha Jr. after a 13 hour search.
According to the department, officers were called to N. 20th and Colcord at 1:22 a.m. where they located one vehicle had been hit and three people that were injured.
One victim died at the scene. The two other victims were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be okay, police say.
The vehicle did not stop and left the scene before officers arrived.
Waco PD described the vehicle as a yellow or cream-colored late-model four-door sedan with a box style. It may have a two-tone roof. The vehicle has chrome-colored rims and will have heavy front end and hood damage.
The vehicle pictured below has been found along with the driver.
