WACO, Texas — Cyber Monday is here, and with it comes many deals that may seem enticing. However, it's also a time when scams can catch unaware online shoppers off guard.
A few tips you need to know before shopping:
- Don't click ads on social media. This could install unwanted malware that would take your personal information.
- Make sure your browser URL has a lock symbol in the top left corner. This means the site is secure and your information won't be leaked.
- If you're wary of a site's contents or images use Google image search. Just insert the URL into the search bar and it will show you if that picture is legitimate or is a copy.
