KILLEEN, Texas — Here we go! This week’s pet could not be any more perfect! We would like to introduce you to our pretty Penny, a gorgeous, approximately 6 year old spayed female Australian Cattle Dog mix who is ready and able to fit into just about any home.
Penny has had all of her vaccinations and is already microchipped. She walks well on a leash, knows how to keep her kennel clean, and accepts treats most politely. Penny will occasionally play with toys, but is much happier to just hang out with her people. She is not an overly hyper dog, but she also doesn’t want to be a couch potato ALL the time (although a good Netflix bender is perfectly acceptable).
We have no reason to think that Penny would have an issue living with older children, but younger kids may be just a little too much for her to handle. With the proper introduction, she may be happy living with another dog as well. This girl is an all-around good dog who truly doesn’t need too much training to become the perfect family companion; all she needs is someone to love her and give her the time she deserves.
Penny is waiting to meet her new family at the Fort Cavazos Animal Shelter at 4902 Engineer Dr. on Fort Cavazos between 9:00am and 8:00pm any day of the week.
She will also be attending our Adoption and Donation Drive being held at the III Corps Express at the intersection of TJ Mills Blvd. and 761st Tank Battalion Ave (across the street from Chili’s on Fort Cavazos) this coming Saturday between 11:30am and 1:30pm if her new family hasn’t found her by then! If you think Penny may be the perfect fit for your family, stop by to meet her soon because we know she won’t be with us long!
