Waco's Fuddruckers to close this month

The restaurant has been open for nearly 40 years.

WACO, Texas — A popular hamburger chain in Waco announced Tuesday that it's closing down Christmas Eve.

Fuddruckers, located at 1411A North Valley Mills Dr., told its customers about the Dec. 24 closure on its Facebook page, which garnered over 1,000 shares, nearly 500 comments and 500 reactions by the time this article was first published.

"We want to thank our Fudds fans for continuing to support us through the last 39 years," the business said in the post. For all the traveling teams and groups we have fed, all the events we have catered in Waco, and to each and every burger we have been honored to serve to you Waco, we thank you!"

Fuddruckers will permanently close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24.

"Until then, please join us for another World’s Greatest Burger and a final goodbye," it said.
