CRAWFORD, Texas — The Crawford softball team is heading back to the state tournament for the first time since 2016.
The Lady Pirates swept Honey Grove in the region final to advance.
Crawford is 34-3 on the year. The Lady Pirates will battle West Sabine (31-5) in the Class 2A state semifinals on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Red & Charlie McCombs Field on the University of Texas campus.
Thorndale (32-5) is on the other side of the bracket. The Lady Bulldogs are making their first state tournament appearance in school history. They'll battle Windthorst (32-6) in the semifinals on Wednesday at noon.
