HILLSBORO, Texas — A bus driver died early May 17 after an accident involving two semi-trucks and a bus happened on I-35. One of the the semi-truck drivers was taken to a hospital in Waco.
Hillsboro police and fire personnel responded to the accident around 2:30 a.m. May 17 on the northbound side of I-35, in the area of the 365 mile markers.
The first responders found the bus driver dead at the scene. The driver's identity has not yet been released.
The interstate was closed so bus passengers and the semi-truck driver could be evaluated by medical staff and to conduct an investigation of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
