TEMPLE, TX — On Saturday, Temple firefighters responded to a reported fire in the 3300 Block of Red Bud Road. Firefighters arrived and observed flames coming from the inside of an attached garage.
The fire was discovered by a family member, who alerted other members of the family. All occupants safely evacuated. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Fire damage was confined to the garage. A vehicle inside the garage was also damaged. A dollar loss to the home and contents has not been calculated. The Fire Marshal’s Office is working to determine the cause of the blaze which started in the garage. There were no injuries.
Temple Police and Temple EMS responded. The fire department responded with 8 units and 24 personnel. The call was dispatched at 2:38 a.m. and the first unit arrived at 2:42 a.m. The last unit cleared the scene at 4:54 a.m.
