WACO, Texas — The Waco Fire Department responded to a report of a furnace that was leaking molten glass around 4:30 a.m. Friday at the Owens-Illinois glass plant in Waco.
According to a post from the department's Twitter page, the furnace is in a cooling down process.
Waco Fire Deputy Chief Robby Bergerson said the plant has experienced melt downs every few years, and takes a while to resolve.
