TEMPLE, Texas — Can you believe we're already about halfway through the first month of 2019? Now that you know this, here are six more things you should know before you get up and go.

1. Mother asking for prayers as police continue search for Jenna Scott, Michael Swearingin

Volunteers organized a search party this past weekend to continue searching for missing Temple friends, Michael Swearingin and Jenna Scott. Their families ask the community for their prayers and ongoing support. Here's the latest on the story that we've covered since earlier this month.

2. 25-year-old man flown to hospital in critical condition after shooting at Killeen motel

No arrests have been made in a case involving a 25-year-old man that was shot at the Liberty 6 Motel on E. Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Killeen on Sunday. The Bell County Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information that can lead to an arrest. Here's what we know.

3. 32-year-old woman killed in auto-pedestrian crash outside of Nolanville

A 32-year-old woman was killed Sunday after being hit by a car near FM 439 and Quarry Rd. outside of Nolanville. Despite efforts made by the driver to revive the victim, officials said the woman died at the scene.

4. Woman stabbed in Killeen

The Killeen Police Department are investigating why a man stabbed a woman Friday night at the 1700 block of Alamo Ave. in Killeen. While the woman is in an unknown condition in the hospital, police said the man fled the scene.

5. Update on Corden Fidler

The Temple boy who was shot by his mother's estranged husband on Dec. 20 is continuing to improve in the recovery process. Fidler's family continues to thank the community for raising money for his medical expenses. The GoFundMe page has currently raised more than $31,000.

Background: A standoff in Temple on Dec. 20 ended with 36-year-old Shelly Splittgerber and 64-year-old Sherry Gray shot and killed, while Splittgerber's 4-year-old son, Corden Fidler, was injured. Shelly Splittgerber's husband, Matt Splittberger, had a protective order placed against him by his wife a day before the attack.
